Full Board Review
Full Boards review submissions are due via email (Erin.Staab@AllendaleIRB.com) by 9pm EST Monday for Thursday review. The results of the review will be reported by noon Thursday.
Rush Full Board Review
Have you missed the Monday submission deadline? Rush review submissions are due via email by 9pm EST Tuesday for Thursday review. The results of the review will be reported by noon Thursday.
Specially Convened Review
If you require an urgent full board review outside of our Thursday board meeting schedule, please reach out to our IRB Administrator to request a Specially Convened review. These specially convened reviews are completed and results are reported within 24 hours.
Expedited Review
For research presenting no more than minimal risk, the AIRB may conduct an expedited review. These categories are listed in OHRP Guidance. Expedited reviews are completed the same business day.
Continuing Review
The AIRB is required to review and approve all non-exempt research projects at intervals appropriate to the degree of risk, but not less than once a year. Continuing reviews are completed in 1 business day.
Amendments
All amendments to currently approved research must be approved by the IRB prior to implementation, except when necessary to eliminate apparent immediate hazards to the human subjects. Amendment reviews are completed in 1 business day.
